Im a mum and I swear by my really simple 49p hack for a teething child - it works every time

IF you are a parent and have had to deal with a teething child, you’ll know that it can be a real struggle.

When their babies are sad, upset, or in pain, many mums will try any solution they can to make things right – and the cheaper the fix, the better.

While many will have tried special teething toys, this can be quite expensive, but fear not, one mum has shared her bargain hack for her teething baby that is a real game changer.

Jamie D’Andrea, mum to daughter Emersyn Faye, took to TikTok to reveal her clever teething hack.

Don’t worry, you won’t need to go out and spend lots of money on a fancy teething toy to help ease your child’s discomfort, as thanks to this hack, all you’ll need to spend is 49p.

What’s more, you might even have the solution at home already.

The mum-of-one claimed that she uses a spring onion to help with her daughter’s teething.

She uploaded her hack clip to the video sharing platform with the caption ‘Green onions have analgesic properties, so try letting your baby gnaw on a cold scallion anytime their teething pain gets overwhelming.’

She said: “Let the baby chew on a cold green onion and watch the fussiness go away”.

In the video, we see Jamie give her daughter Emersyn a spring onion as she proceeds to chew on it.

One person asked: “At what age can they try this method?” to which Jamie said “I would say whenever you’re letting them try solids. My paediatrician said it was OK and she was teething early”.

Meanwhile, another joked: “it works but then baby stinks lol” to which Jamie replied “A nice bubble bath after does magic”.
