Yesterday Kate returned to royal duties and stepped out in Birmingham with Prince William to meet future leaders and local business owners from the city’s creative industries.

She wore a stunning A-line midi from Karen Millen (a style we know she loves and is totally on trend with) which boasted a utility shirt style bodice with imitation pockets, and chunky lapels to give a structured feel. A tonal fabric belt tied at the waist to give a flattering silhouette which led onto a super feminine, pleated midi skirt.

To pair with her dress, which was aptly reminiscent of the home colours of Prince William’s favourite football team – Birmingham based Aston Villa, the princess wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi suede pumps (naturally) and dramatic ‘Dina’ earrings from Sézane which are, as expected, already sold out.

The striking bijouterie boasted gold textured discs with four dangling strands of natural stones that captured our attention from the moment she stepped out.

Kate isn't not the only one sporting oversized gold jewellery this season. Lily James donned a pair of breathtaking, hammered metal heart shaped statement earrings this week in NYC, to amp up the glam in her unequivocally chic all-black look.

Statement accessories were also at the top of Hailey Bieber's Coachella agenda.
